WebHornwort's kind of weird, I have some that's been in a number of different tanks and it does fine, and some that exploded instantly. Both in all different conditions. It gets nutrients from the water, so you could try a little liquid fert, very little, or algae can grow severely. Fluorish excel helps them, too. Half dose to start with. But I would fertilize it though and the fert is relatively cheap $6 a big bottle at my LFS.
