You can summon Hodrick as a Purple Bro, but he'll kick your ass or black crystal out if certain conditions are not met. So no, you can't. Eygon summon sign is behind one of the pillars in the ruins before going up the hill to the Crystal Sage.

You have to be summoned to her world again to fight Hodrick, and then she has to swear fealty to you in Firelink after that. Then her sign appears in front of Dragonslayer Armor. TBH she isn't worth the extra HP the boss gets in that fight.
