WebTrying to contest a parking ticket for not curbing my tires enough when I parked. The street seemed flat. I wouldn’t know which way to turn my tires it felt so flat. Anything more than 3% slope or 1.72 degrees is considered steep enough to require curb tired. Lived in SF 15 years and always curb my tires when street was noticeably not flat. WebApr 7, 2014 · The number of tire blowouts due to rubbing on curbs is, no doubt, a higher than normal rate with this model of Volt tires. I strongly suggest Chevy should consider a manufacturer's review or recall on these tires. It seems to me to be very obvious that there is an issue with these tires. WebJan 18, 2024 · They need beefier tires to protect the rims from curb rash. If not that then how about sensors that detect a curb near the wheels and stop the car before the damage is done. You can add alloygators which accomplish the same thing for a lot less money. Would also be helpful to point out which wheels you are talking about.
